What is this 2mm extra skin below my eye (with photo)?

There is a bit of extra skin about 1 to 2mm below the eye about 1.5cm. Photo https://i.imgur.com/eOSp8j3.png

It has been there for many months, what is it, what causes it and how can I get rid of it?

Could it be a skin tag?  Those are totally normal to have.  Does it hurt or itch?  If it does, you should go ahead and get it looked at.  Also, if it seems to increase or change in size/shape, that's a sign it needs to be checked into- other wise I don't think it's anything to be overly concerned about.
