Hello,
It can be due to a boil inside the nose. In case of boil inside the nose which is infection of the hair follicle inside the nose, it takes its own course for a week or so in healing and no treatment may be required. Apply warm moist compresses three or four times a day over the tender area. This will help to bring the boil to a head and encourage easy drainage.
Along with the warm compresses, you can take OTC pain killers and a course of antibiotics if the causative agent is bacteria.
Please consult an ENT specialist if the symptoms persist.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
well, my lips have seemed to clear up. But now my nose is killing me...
A couple of days after my lip ordeal my nose started hurting on the inside, and within a day or two there began to be these yellow crusts forming. When I would remove them with a q-tip or tweezers, the skin seemed to be wet and start to drip. Today I woke up and it feels almost like I have a pimple and the tip of my nostril is really sore and my nose is starting to swell and turn red.
A week or two before I got the things on my lip, I got viral conjunctivitis in my eye, and it spread to the other one. There were a few things that could of caused this but about a month before I had a HUGE abscess on the back of my leg right on my *** cheek. The urgent care doctor I visited seen it was one of the worst he had ever seen, gave me a shot and medication to take and within 4-5 days it wasn't bothering me anymore but there is still a red bump where it happened.
I am very concerned with my nose as it is really starting to hurt and it seems to be getting more swollen as the day progresses.
I have no insurance and have had to visit the doctor for every thing that has happened so far, and quite frankly I can't afford it until friday to visit the doctor to see what this is or get medication if necessary.
Am i sick with something that I don't know about or is it some crazy coincidence that this is going on? Any help on my combined conditions or what may be happening with my nose would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello,
For such symptoms the possibilities of oral thrush causing candidiasis and oral lichen planus needs to be ruled out. Thrush appears as white patches in the mouth. Usually they can be seen on the tongue, inside the cheeks, under the tongue, and in the back of the throat. I suggest you to get an examination done from your doctor and get a KOH examination of the scrapings done of these white coatings.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
