I bought a bottle of Equate knock-off Selsun Blue.  It's definitely working, the first application almost got rid of the rash completely.

I put it on each rash and waited about 10-20 mins, then took a shower.

By the way, I'm using clotrimazole, but I'll try using Ciclopirox or some shampoos.

It seems to be working, albeit very slowly.

Seems like it will come back if I stop using the cream.

Thanks; I actually just bought some antifungal cream today, as I read that fungus might be the culprit.

I'll post back with the results.

Hello,

One of the possibilities for your symptoms is pityriasis versicolor. It is caused by a fungus that lives in the skin of almost all adults. Factors that can cause the fungus to become more visible include high humidity and immune or hormone abnormalities. Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines. You can try any of the over the counter antifungal shampoos like Selsen or Nizoral on these rashes. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

By the way, here are some more details:

I've had this rash for around two years, it has gotten bigger in that period of time.
It hardly ever itches, but does moderately itch sometimes.

Other than that, it's not much of a bother, beside the fact that it looks ugly!  I look forward to your opinion.

Hi,

I happened upon your post but am afraid I don't have any helpful ideas other than to ask your doctor as you gather ideas here, too.
