Why do I have a small red bump on my lip?

For a while now, maybe 6 months, I’ve had a tiny red bump on my lip. It kinda looks like a pimple, very small but it doesn’t itch or burn. Sometimes I forget it’s their because it doesn’t feel anything out of the ordinary and if I don’t look closely at my lips I don’t notice it. It also didn’t itch when I first got it, it just appeared out of nowhere. I’m not sure if it could be herpes or something but it’s been there for a while and I would like to know if there is anyway to get rid of it or if I need to go to the doctor.
