benign tumors

Do you have to remove benign tumors? The only reason I asked is because I have one on my eyelid, which I don't want it completely remove since it will leave a scar. The biopsy showed that it was benign. Please e-mail me back with my answer at jaime.***@****.

Hello,
Although benign tumors do not become malignant, but if it is causing symptoms, presents a health risk, or causes a cosmetic concern for the patient, surgery is usually the most effective approach. you need to consult your dermatologist and get it evaluated.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Speak with your doctor more.  A lot depends on the nature of the tumor, benign or not.  How fast is it growing and is it interferring with your sight?  Is the scar going to be better than looking at this tumor everyday?
