If you kiss someone will they get it?
If you kiss someone will they get it?
how do you apply miconazole on the foreskin or under the foreskin on the penis head
Sometimes making a scarf by folding a little toilet paper and applying it to the base of the penis head, under the foreskin, will allow enough air contact to alleviate the condition.
I had a swollen foreskin and also tight when erected. I used bactroban oinment and subsequently the infection was reduce ie the rediness of penis is reduced and have become normal, but still after getting the erection the foreskin dose not retract and the shape of penis is like an hour glass shape when erect and normal while flaccid. Can any one help in such case? I would like to avoid circumcision.
Thank you for posting that information. I've had this occur to me every 4-5 months....and am current;y experiencing this for the 4th time.
Evertime this happens I have the same symptoms.
- Starts with a itchy tip of foreskin (I'm not circumsized.)
-24 hr later i have swelled foreskin
-24 later foreskin become very sensitive and beige fluid starts to build and foreskin becomes difficult to retract.
now at the stage where foreskin is impossible to retract, red ring on foreskin...head of penis has red areas. Urination is painful(not pain in Urethra but urine contacting foreskin.
I'm in extreme discomfort at this stage. Went to a walk in clinic on day 2 of this and was persrcibed bactroban cream. This has decreased the discomfort on the foreskin..but urinatiom remains very painful.
Also have been concerned about urethra opening. A few day into by current outbreak, the urethra openning healed together/over. Wasn't aware till I went to urinate and nothing came out. After a few seconds, the build up of pressure forced it's way out, but of course the area bleed a bit. It's now partly healed together. This is the part of my ordeal I'm most concerned about.
Hi,
This is a condition called balanitis.Balanitis is inflammation of the glans penis. Lack of aeration and irritation because of smegma and discharge surrounding the glans penis causes inflammation and edema.More common in uncircumcised males.
It is usually caused by poor hygiene in uncircumcised men. The inflammation can be due to infection, harsh soaps, or failure to properly rinse soap off while bathing.
One common organism associated with balanitis is a yeast known as Candida albicans. Balanitis may occur because of excessive growth of Candida, due to moisture and warmth under the foreskin.
It can be treated by applying Miconazole, an anti-fungal medication. Most cases of balanitis can be controlled with medicated creams and good hygiene.
Inflammation has many possible causes, including irritation by environmental substances, physical trauma, and infection by a wide variety of pathogens, including bacteria, virus, or fungus—each of which require a particular treatment.
Retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. Apply bacitracin (not Neosporin) for pediatric patients if bacterial infection is suspected.
Apply topical clotrimazole for adult men with probable candidal balanitis.
If the symptoms persist, you would need to consult your doctor.
Let us know if you need any other information.
Regards.
I dont think balanitis is contagious, at least not what i have been reading up on for few years.
