boyfriend has under-the-skin irritation/itch in genital area-- but I don't

My boyfriend is complaining of an under-the-skin-prompted itch/irritation after having sex. It is not visable at all. This just started a couple weeks ago but we've been seeing each other many months. He's blaming me although
I have no STDs, no irritations, rash, itch, pain or anything wrong on my "end." When he uses a condom he says the irritation moves up to his scrotum. Did he somehow become allergic to me? Wouldn't that have happened sooner? Please help-- this is ruining my life.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be because of any allergic contact dermatitis to the condom, lubricant, the cosmetics or soap or detergent that you are using. If it appears as a red itchy rash then fungal infection needs to be ruled out.
He can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. He should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton socks. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.

Please take a second opinion from a dermatologist if the symptoms persist. Topical and oral steroids may be needed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
