Hi.
You may ask your dermatologist if you can use corticosteroids over this as this may be a case of dermatitis. If this is an infection, then the right antifungal or antibiotic may also be necessary. Applying inappropriate medications may only aggravate the skin condition. If the underlying dermatitis or infection has been treated you may use bleaching creams for the area to improve the discoloration.
thanks so much doc..... are there any ways i can get rid of this?
Hi
What makes these itchy spots you have mentioned significant is their color. You have noted that they are discolored or rather dark colored. Dark discolorations may be due to hyperpigmentation which may be post inflammatory.that is there may be an initial skin infection which could have led to this dicoloration. At this point, dermatitis ( nummular or allergic ) and a fungal infection may be considered.I Itchiness is a characteristic of these two conditions. If there are any possible triggers like food or some substances or chemicals from detergents, lotions and creams then a dermatitis is likely.
but they are not connected they are actually seperate spots here and there.
yes i have had chicken pox before, but no blisters of that sort.. just really itchy and they are much more dark compared to my complexion which is also dark, but some they so seem like flat spots which are not raised
Hi.
How would you describe these spots?
Are they blisters or vesicles?
For itchiness and the presence of discolorations or redness in the area, this may be a case of dermatitis. Dermatitis is a likely differential here for as long as there is no clustered blisters which may represent a herpetic lesion or shingles.
Have you had chicken pox before?
and they are a small spots too..
i also wanted to include that im finding these spots on my sides by my stomach,
