Genital pimples, Herpes, or Warts....

Hi,

I have been with my wife for 3 years now.  Until recently (July) I have noticed a few small bumps on the pubic reigon, which sometimes is on the lower part of the stomach, but mainly in the pubic reigon.  They look like pimples or ingrown hairs, but there is no hair underneath.  They are no larger than 1 to 2mm in size and are red on the base, with a lighter color in the center.  The bad thing to do was dig them out, but I had to see what it was.  Inside it almost looks solid and off white.  And after digging one off, the wound bleeds a bit for about 30 seconds.

In August, i've noticed the same thing on my wife.  We together had no symptoms of the same earlier in our lives, but this now.  We've discussed this, and I'm scared we have given each other an STD.  She's complained about one of them itching a few times, but i've never seen them go away or disappear.  She's not had any type of vaginal discharge or sickness.  And what worries me more is she's 5 months pregnant.

Can someone offer some advice?

I do not think either of you has an STD, because your description doesn't sound like one.  You sound like you have small cysts or blocked follicles.  If she has them too, that would be coincidence, not contagion.  Please leave them alone so they can either disappear or heal, and show what's left to a doctor, so you can know for sure what they are.

Best.

I am not a doctor, but it sounds like folliculitis.  Do a search for folliculitis on this site and I think you will find a lot of people describe the same symptoms.
Good luck.
