dark spots
Hi, I'm 47 years old and dark spots on my face. They are on along my cheeks and very big. What can I do to get rid of them? My self-esteem has dropped completaly. Please help
You taking birth control? I know you aren't exactly in that age bracket, but it could be caused by that....

Dak spots in the face maybe due to moles, freckles, age spots and other causes of hyperpigmentation like discolorations from previous acne .
I suggest you seek consult with your dermatologist so the spots may be assessed. A complete medical history and physical examination will be able to help.Hormones and a history of unprotected excessive exposure to the sun may later on cause dark spots on the skin as one ages.
Your dermatologist may be able to help you choose the right medications, products or therapy that may help lighten the spot. Avoid any further exposure to the sun. Use sunblock when going out and during prolonged sun exposure.
