dripping hives

I had hives. After a couple of weeks of itching, it turned into puss dripping scar looking wound. Its been a couple of weeks and I am using bacterium ointment and doxy antibiotic, but it doesn't seem to subside. I developed itchy lesion-turned-dripping wound on my ear as well as forehead. About the same time when it all started, I had very itchy rashes broke out on my hip and lower legs which is now subsiding. About 3 years about I went through similar situation when I my skin had reaction to PPD of hair dye. Not sure what it got reacted to this time, if any. If anyone know how to fix this, I would very much appreciate the help. PS I have been on low histamine diet for the last 2 weeks. Thank you!

Definitely go see your doctor again if the prescription runs its course and you aren't free of the lesions. My son needed to stay on it for 6 months.

I assume the doxy was prescribed by a doctor who saw your skin? It isn't the fastest-working antibiotic, but if you take it as prescribed and don't miss a dose, it does work in the end. When my son needed some for his skin because the dripping wound thing was happening for him, it took at least two weeks before there was noticeable improvement.

If you are pretty sure this is from an allergic reaction to something, if your doctor approves, you might want to add an allergy pill to your regime (like Allegra or Benadryl).
