dry skin around nostrils

i have a problem with the dryness around my nostrils.anyway theres usually dead white or sometimes yellow-ish skin around it so i decide to rub  it off and my skin becomes really red.after i rubbed it off i put on some neosporin, few of the redness went away but next day i realized my skin began to break and dry again a bit in the same place so i decide to do the same with the neosporin. 2 days later no progression of getting rid of it so today i tried some mosturiezer so far the results are the same.My question is how do i get rid of this?i also realized that the same thing beginning to happen on the skin on the edge on one of my eyebrows.

Hi. A trip to your doctor is indicated for evaluation and advice.
In the meantime, try Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream. It is very effective for dryness, irritation, sunburn and skin lesions. I experienced dryness of the lips and nose whilst on a course of oral Isotretinoin and this product really helped.

Hi,

It appears that there are few possible causes to this lesion: fungal infection, eczema, rosacea, or plain dryness.

Fungal infections lead to multiple areas of raised and ringed lesions with bumps in the boundaries and clearing within.

Eczema is a progression of dryness coupled with a immune reaction to it, leading to the development of crusty and dry lesions.

Rosacea, is a form of sun sensitivity leading to lesions on the face near the nose and eyebrows.

Each of these has a distinct treatment plan, and your doctor would be able to prescribe them easily. however, they may have one common basis. They are all helped by use of moisturizers and water. therefore you must keep the area clean and hydrated at all times. Avoid itching and use OTC anti-histamines if required to prevent itching.

Let me know if you may need any more help.
