dry skin on penis

Hello,

Every now and then I get a bunch of dry skin on the end of the shaft of my penis next to the head. Just recently a small circular spot appeared on the head of my penis just above where the dry skin is. This patch also has dry skin that can be peeled off. After a day or so the skin peels off and sometimes turns into cracks or cuts that are painful to the touch. I've been tested for syphillis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and HIV and all of them came back negative. The dry skin that appears around the shaft has been coming and going for years but this new spot on the head worries me... I haven't been tested since before I started dating my current girlfriend and I'm wondering if I should do so again. A pic of the area is attached.

Hello,
There are many possibilities which can cause such dry skin on the penis head. It can be due to atopic dermatitis, eczema , harsh chemicals that aggravate the skin condition on your penis, psoriasis or erythroplasia or querat( skin malignancy which presents as redness, scaling and crusting).

I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get the biopsy done.
