extreme itching in inner thighs and scrotum
From last 2 months i am having extreme itching and burning feeling in my inner thighs and my scrotum which is also reaching my anal area. I had noticed white grayish area on my inner thighs and area is almost brownish red and my thighs is also having burning feeling in them. My scrotum area is also very red and very itchy too. I am using fourderm antifungal cream on it but it is helping me very less. I dont have any idea what it is. One of the doctor says its a fungal infection and given me tineaguard lotion and lupinconzole lotion to apply. I applied and used it for 7 to 8 days and it had made an improvement but the infection came back after 4 to 5 days again. I also feel soreness in my inner thighs sometimes in the day. If anybody has any suggestion please reply....i will be very thankful to you.

Thanks alot doctor. Doctor infection in my inner thighs is round and the inner most thighs is completely ok but the area around it is scaly red and it also have some small red pimples and it is spreading towards my scrotum and anal area. My doctor had prescribed me allegra 180 mg twice a day and said not to apply steriod creams because i am using diffetent steriod creamd on and off for last two months and i am taking bath twice a day and changing my underwears twice in a day. My doctor said using steriod cream continously can damages the immunity of the skin and this is increase dependence on syeriod cream. I had used creams like 3 mix, tyza m, fourderm etc for almost aweek but infection comes back after 4 or 5 days. Does allegra 180 mg helps or not kindly suggest

These symptoms can be due to intertrigo. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds.It most commonly occurs due to bacterial,viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.
Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed.
