finger rash

Ive had this rash that started under my ring finger. Very small bumps and gets kinda itchy but not red, kinda has a little center dot on them.. I put some 2.5 % prescription cream and goes away from that area and shows up like an 1/2 inch down on another area. Its like im always chasing it with the cream. My reg doctor says it may be exema. I know i can do to my dermetoligist for a biopsey to find out for sure but does anyone have any idea of what this may be. Im chasing it on my ring finger, down on my palm then back up the ring finger. This 2.5% cream is pretty strong and should kill any fungus or bacteria i would think but its the chasing the has me stumped.

Hi there,
These small bumps with itching could be due to any allergy, inflammation or infection. Eczema is the commonest possibility. Are these bbumps fluid filled? Small itchy fluid filled blisters are commonly seen in dyshidrotic eczema. People under stress, allergies are more prone for developing this condition. Scratching makes the condition worse. Try taking anti-itch medicines by mouth, such as hydroxyzine or loratidine which can help you stop scratching. In scabies cause by tiny mites there are itchy red bumps on the fingers. It is an extremely contagious condition. Seeking a dermatologist’s opinion for exact diagnosis and treatment will help.
Best luck and take care!

Hi Doctor Arti and thanks for the reply. They are not filled with anything and it started i think by cleaning the cat litter box. It started under my wedding ring so i stopped wareing it. The creams helped but it moves like 1/8 inch to the next spot. It not really itchy just annoying as am chasing it around my finger and down on my palm. They are kinda raised and clear with a small dot in the middle of the irritation. Is it possible its from cat feses bacteria as it all started under my wedding ring which was usually moist when i cleaned the cat box.
