Hello,
You can wait for the time that your surgeon has advised. Application of warm compresses, mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a surgeon.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
Sometimes we can find hematoma after inguinal hernia surgery. a hematoma is a collection of blood outside of a blood vessel. This hematoma needs to be drained as it might undergo calcification and then may be more troublesome. I suggest you to consult your operating surgeon and get it drained.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
