Random Painful Pimples (?) on my Body

29 year old female, non-smoker, social drinker, no known drug allergies.
About 4-5 months ago I started getting random bumps my body.  At first I only noticed them along my bikini line after I shaved.  They are large, red, raised, painful, itchy, and have a white-head similar to a pimple.  I can pop them like you do a pimple, but they spread rapidly if I do.  I've since gotten them in more areas - inner thighs, under-arms, one random on my stomach. Other than the random on my stomach, they've only occurred in areas that I shave.  I have used the same brand of razor for years, and I change my blades in a timely fashion.  They actually tend to be worse right after I've changed the blade.

Any suggestions as to what might help?  I have an extra bottle of acne treatment (salacyclic acid, 2.0%) that seems to help a little, but doesn't do anything miraculous.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Such kind of bumps can due to irritated hair follicles due to folliculitis or boils. Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lumps persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Possibly a folliculitis. Mupurocin creme is useful. Consult your doc.

Just to add a little.  I am incredibly sensitive to fragrance.  Heavy fragrance soaps/body washes give me a hive-like rash - splotchy red patches - very itchy.
