itchy dry scaly skin

hi,

I'm a 32 male.  Recently i have a skin condition on my penis shaft. It's a itchy dry scaly skin around 1/2" X 1/4" in size. Its only located in a location.  at night i can peel of the dry skin but in the morning the dry rough skin is back.

You can use hydrocortisone butyrate for the itching in eczema.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt replay. I wasn't able to find Hydrocortisone here in China. They only have Hydrocortisone Butyrate, can i use this instead.

Or can i use Mometasone Furoate cream?

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be eczema,contact dermatitis or sweat dermatitis.

Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).Also use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.

May be an irritant dermatitis.Mild emollients should help.
