itchy lump under skin

I have a lump above the back of my knee that is itchy. It comes and goes. This time, it seems to be lingering longer. It is hard to the touch. It does not hurt, but it is itchy. I do not have this problem anywhere else on my body. Could this be something serious?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be insect bite, scabies bite or a cyst. For the itching antihistaminics like Benadryl can be taken. If the symptoms persist then topical steroids and oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
