lip blister

I have a small sore on my upper life, it has been there for about 4 days so far. It is not white or swollen. It feels more like a cut on my lip. it dried up in a matter of one day, but I peeled off the skin by accident after brushing my teeth and now its sore again. Is there a possibility of this being herpes or any other serious disease?

Thank you..it turned out to be nothing serious at all. I went to a doctor and on examination he said it was simply my lip splitting because of dryness caused by coldness. there was no burning, itching or tingling. just the feeling of a burst lip which it turned out to be. thank you for your help though.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be folliculitis if the bumps are found close to the lip line and can be cold sores if you had an infection due to HSV1. Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down. You need to get some investigations like sample from the sores to identify the virus, culture analysis, Tzanck smear, antigen and antibody studies and blood sampling for antibody studies done to confirm the diagnosis. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
