many bruises around cuts?

i have struggles with self harm and lately i used something to engage in those behaviors. the wounds healed fine, but after two days, brown splotches popped up around the edge of each cut. is this a sign of infection? it looks like tiny little bruises, could it be that?

I'm so sorry you are struggling with self harm.  Your best course of action is to go ahead and see a doctor to ensure that you can talk to them about this issue.  The brown spots are probably not infection- especially if the wounds are healing well and you don't see any other signs.  But it's very important to get some support with the self harm feelings you are having.
