Red splotches on my leg after I shower?

A few days ago, I had hives due to something I ate. They're gone now, but after the hives stopped coming, after I take a hot shower, red splotches will appear up and down the side of my shins. Does this have anything to do with the hives from before? I know skin gets red when it's hot, but this doesn't usually happen to me.

These red splotches don't itch and they're not painful. They aren't elevated either. It's just on my skin. The splotches aren't giant circles or anything. They just dot down my leg. Below is a picture. Don't worry, it's not graphic. It's just my leg after I showered.
