odd mold on penis

I just noticed recently that I have this odd white mold almost growing on the inside under rim of my penis head. I'll wash it everyday and everyday there's this growth coming right back. It's odd and I can't really find anything about it. It's moist but you can rub it off almost like wet tissue. Any idea what it is?

Sexually transmitted diseases usually presents with pain or discharge. Another differential could be infection such as urethritis or urinary tract infection. Although it is difficult to determine the diagnosis without  actual physical examination, I recommend that you observe for a few days. Otherwise, if it persists or other symptoms arise, a trip to your doctor is indicated and laboratory tests to rule out std or infection may be done.

Hi,

Well as regards to other symptoms, I would say that only when I start to erect, the ring of the head of the penis itself starts to enflame in a minor burning sensation (more pain then sensation). Now this is especially where the penis isn't circumsized. Also this only occured recently which does worry me. My girl friend has nothing different, only me. Wondering is somehow an std or something has emerged. T-T

Hi,

Are there other symptoms present? You may be referring to smegma or  naturally produced mucous of exfoliated epithelial cells, transudated skin oils, and moisture which may accumulate under the foreskin. It helps keep the glans moist and facilitates sexual intercourse by acting as a lubricant. ( ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smegma) It is generally recommended to retract the foreskin when cleaning the genitals to remove the accumulated smegma. If it persists and other symptoms arise, have this evaluated further for proper management.

Take care and regards.
