penis rash and red spot

I had sex with a condom I immediately felt a burning sensation.  I have a rash and red spots on the tip of my penis.  I went to the doctor all tests came back negative. no STDS no herpies! she just gave me something for the itching and told me it might be awhile. Its been over 3 months and the symptoms have not gone away. I have tried every home remedy possible. Lamisil, Peroxide, amoxicillion,  coconut oil tea tree oil. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

Context is everything.  Not many things cause months of irritation. A virus will.

I have the same thing.  I strongly believe mine is Hsv1. Doesn't go away and is easily irritated after any type of friction such as masturbation, hot water or my clothing even. Never happened before the oral sex. I'm 7 mos. in and no end in sight worse with coffee or alcohol. Only leaves one thing left.  Btw the more crsp
You rub on the longer it'll take to heal

Elidel is a cream that reduces inflammation on the skin.

What I suggest you do is buy yourself a big box (10kg or more) of Epsom Salts from the web, you can shop around for the cheapest.

Pour yourself out a bath and add 2 or 3 large cups of the Epsom Salts into your bath water - add a few drops of baby or coconut oil and bathe in the water for 15 minutes or more.  Do not use any soaps, bath or shower gels.
An emollient that you can purchase from pharmacy can be used instead of soap.  But it is best to just soak in the Epsom Salt bath.

Dry yourself gently and apply your antifungal cream that you were prescribed.  Do NOT use the antifungal cream and the peroxide - just use the one.

After applying the antifungal, a hour or so afterwards apply lots of moisturising antibacterial cream, Emolin spray oil (you can get that from the pharmacy) or use lots of virgin coconut oil to apply to all the bits that need it.

Have the bath with the Epsom Salts every day.  Epsom salts will help to heal the skin and will also neutralise the skin so that the bugs will not like it.

It could take many months for it to get to being normal again.

You do not need to send any pictures, I can visualise how it is.

Your doctor can prescribe an antibacterial bath lotion called Dermol 600 that you put some into the bath water - and that is fine with the Epsom Salts.

I suggest you make an appointment with your doctor and get a skin swab done to be sent to the laboratory or analysis.  This will show if you have bacterial or fungal issues.

Antibiotics that you have had do not work on fungal infections.  For fungal infections you need antifungal medications and creams.

Cut down or cut out all sugary foods and fizzy and sugary drinks.  Fungus loves moist warm places to breed as well as sweet.  Eating yogurt will help.

When you see your doctor not only ask for a skin swab to be taken, but also ask the doctor for you to have a glucose test to see if you are glucose intolerant, pre diabetic or have diabetes.  Having these medical conditions encourages fungal growth and especially if you eat/drink a lot of sugary foods and drinks.

You may also need to be on the Fluconazole or the Itraconazole (another capsule for fungus) for a few weeks.

Best wishes.

Thanks for the advice Jemma.

How long will this last? I was given one dose of an antibiotic for yeast infection but obviously it didn't do any good. I want to send you some pictures. this is ruining my life right now. I have been using anti fungal cream and peroxide daily for some relief. my penis looks like alligator skin and I have small cuts that aren't healing. I can feel the area around my pelvic area are a little swollen trying too fight whatever it is.
what is Elidel? will this work also?

Any natural yogurt is fine to use, but the set yogurt is much firmer.  I like to use Onken on any skin problem and also to eat it.  Other brands are fine as long as they are natural without any fruit and sugar.

Fluconazole can be purchased as a 100mg 1 singe dose capsule from the pharmacy without a prescription.  You may be able to purchase a 200mg dose.  There are other oral fungal medications, but I don't think you can purchase them without a prescription.  One single dose may not be enough, and a doctor would be able to prescribe a stronger or longer dose if he/she felt it was required.  If you do purchase the Fluconazole from the pharmacy, read the instructions and use as directed.   Follow the instructions with regard to further treatment.

The antifungal creams can be purchased without a prescription from the pharmacy and the pharmacist can help and advice you with regard to which one you should have.  Do tell him that it is for use on your genitals as there are different antifungal creams that are used on different parts of the body.  Athlete's Foot is a fungal problem on the feet and the medications for this is NOT suitable for use on the genitals.

Don't use normal soap and don't use any shower and bath gels as this can aggravate the condition and make it worse.    Non perfumed soap should be fine as well as baby washes.  You can purchase an emollient from the pharmacy without a prescription that you can use instead of soap.  A soap with the same pH level as our skin will be fine to use too.

Always wash your hands after using the toilet and always wash your hands before eating or handing any food.

Don't scratch the genitals if they are itchy as this will damage the delicate skin and make matters much worse.  A cool shower can help to reduce the itching and so will the natural yogurt.  Apply the yogurt to your washed and gently dried genitals.  It will feel very cold, but will help to reduce the itching and the inflammation of the skin.  You can use the yogurt as long as you need to without getting any side effects.

Don't forget to practice good hygiene and wear clean cotton under pants every day.

Did the doctor do a skin swab to check for any fungal problem?  If not, then you need to get that done.

Don't use all those medications.  When you have one medication, it needs to be used for a while (about a week), before you notice any improvement.

As a home remedy, you can apply natural set yogurt to your washed and gently dried penis.  Don't use any soap, bath or shower gels.

It appears that you have an allergy to latex or that particular condom that you used (I presume it was a latex one).  Only use latex free condoms.

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that is used for bacterial infections - it will not help with a burning sensation, rash and red spots if they are not bacterial.  And as you have used an antibiotic, antibiotics can bring about fungal infections, because not only does an antibiotic kill off the bad bacteria, it also kills off the good bacteria and as a result the fungus gets out of control.   Eating natural yogurt can also help to get your gut flora back into shape.

The symptoms that you describe are highly likely to be an allergic reaction to the condom as you noticed an immediate burning sensation.  Now that you have a rash and the itching, it is likely to be a fungal infection.  You may need to use an antifungal cream that is specifically for the genital area.  Your doctor can prescribe this, or you can purchase this from the pharmacy without a prescription.

You can also get antifungal medications that come as oral capsules.  Sometimes 1 single dose is sufficient, sometimes you may need a longer dose and the doctor would prescribe this if he/she felt it was required.
