pimples in pubic region with a rash

I am a 35 year old Caucasion male  and I recently developed these pimples on my pubic region. They are white in nature, soft, and are oozing a green puss-like substance. They are itchy and painful and appear as a rash in that region as well. I also noticed 2 blackhead like pimples on the shaft of my penis I had something similar occur about 3 years ago and nothing since. I was tested for STDs then and all tests were negative. I am in a committed relationship and have not been with another person for approximately 9 months. We are active sexually and have no problems since. if you can give me an idea as to what they are  and how to proceed I would be most grateful. Thanks for your time.

These do not sound like an STD.  They do sound as though they might be infected folliculitis (follicles).  You should see a doctor as soon as you can, because you may well need to be treated with antibiotics.

I wanted to thank you Dr, Rockoff. I went and saw a Dermatologist yesterday who confirmed your diagnosis of infected folliculitis and started me on Keflex and a topical antibiotic. Thank you very much sir. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Thank you very much for your immediate response. Is the antibiotic topical or oral? I had a cream called Desonide....would that help?
