Have you had this checked out?

I've also had Fordyce spots on my shaft since puberty, but I'm 21 now and just noticed them on the head of the penis and foreskin within the last month or two. I only notice them when I pull the skin tight though.

During puberty I got fordyce's spots at the base of my shaft/scrotum, but now I'm 25 and they've been spreading up my shaft! I heard treninoin gel may help. More importantly what could cause this? Thanks.

How are you? Fordyce spots are small (1-5mm), slightly elevated yellowish or white papules or spots that can appear on the glans or shaft of the penis, labia of the female, inside of the cheeks and on the lips. The small yellow spots are caused by an overgrowth of the sebaceous glands. Fordyce spots are sebaceous glands without hair follicles. The cause for it is still unknown, but there seems to be a generic link. The papules are present at birth but only become prevalent when the child reaches puberty.
