I am male 23 years,5-6 months back i found some red purple vertical lines (3 big around 4" and 2 small around 2") on stomach.for 2 months i did'nt notice that but after that i saw it seriously and then show them to my doctor, though he actually not sure what is that, but he though it was due to tick bite may be.. so he given me DOXY1 for 7 days, but it does'nt  given me any good results. I searched on net so much things about it>>
vertical lines (red lines/purple lines) may be beacause of two things
(1)Stretch marks
(2)Lyme disease due to some bacterial infection...

stretch marks>> May be may not be.....Though i am not obese ,there a little mass on my tummy ...so does it be the possibility?

Lyme disease>>> Should i take some test ELISA tests or something to find?

Hi,
Looks you have developed stretch marks on skin of your abdomen.
Stretch marks or striae, as they are called in dermatology, are a form of scarring on the skin with a silvery white hue.
They first appear as reddish or purple lines, but tend to gradually fade to a lighter color.
Stretch marks are the result of the rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid growth (common in puberty) or weight gain (e.g. pregnancy).
Stretch marks are generally associated with pregnancy, obesity, and can develop during rapid muscle growth from regular exercise.
They pose no health risk, only significance is cosmetic.
Various treatments  available are laser treatments, dermabrasion etc.
