i've been had a rash on top of both my foot for a month and a half now. i heard the rash could have had been caused by a pair of new boots i bought. i think its true because after i worn them i began to have this redness and itchy skin on both my foot. now i wonder if its true or not? ive tried calamine lotion, cortisone, and even lemon juice. i need help. please anybody has any advice onto how i can get the itchy, redness and inflammation completely away ? it really bothers me because i cant wear my shoes.
With regards to the itching, cold compress or over-the-counter anti-histamine may help provide relief. If the rash persists and other symptoms arise, have this checked out for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
Thanks for your response!
He just complains about the itch only.
The first patch on left foot is scabbing up. We just put cortison on it last night. There are also a few red dots that have moved up his calf...that look sort of scabbed up already...and he also just noticed yesterday a few little dots(pinkish in color) on his elbow, forearm area.
HI,
How is your boyfriend? Are there other symptoms present? I have already answered your other post. The rash could be due to an irritation, eczema, infection ( fungal or bacterial), an allergic reaction to something with which the feet have come into contact, such as materials in your shoe or poison ivy. Have this evaluated further for proper management. Only by having the rash examined will you be able to get a definite diagnosis. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. It is also recommended that your friend avoid manipulating or scratching the lesion to prevent further infection.
Take care and regards.
