red non itchy rashes

I have read a ton of posts and no one seems to have had my particular issue. I have sporadic, red patches on my legs and arms.  They don't seem to start as a 'mother' patch and then spread. as in pityriasis rosea, nor do they conform to a fungus such as ringworm.  They are uniform in size, a bit smaller than a dime, start out bright red and get dry and flaky as they fade.  They mostly occur on my calves.  They do not itch at all.  They last several weeks, eventually fading away.  My internist looked at one and had no clue and offered to refer me to a  dermatologist, but I didn't want to go the route since they don't bother me at all except for how they look!

i think i have the same problem, if you look close enough it looks like someone has been sucking your blood, i went online and checked tens of different skin conditions i dont seem to find any similarities, they dont itch, they fade but sometimes during the day they get red again ............
