I have had an reocurring localized rash on my forarm and thigh for about a year. The rashes occur every four to six weeks. The rashes began as a red welted area and then erupt into a papular like blister about the diameter of a nickel, and in two weeks they crust over leaving hypo and hyper pigmented marks. When I first got the rash i went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with shingles and prescibed acyclivior, the doctor said from the appearance of the lesions it looked herpetic: A month later a new one in the same location erupted and then I went to a dermatalogist, and they did a biopsy and the diagnosis came back anthropod assault reaction, but i felt that the diagnosis couldnt be definitive because what bug could be biting me in the same place every month, so then I visited a specialist and they suggested another biopsy and an immunoflourescent test, and after the results they diagnosed me with a fixed drug eruption. I explained to the doctors that i didnt take any meds and there has been months since ive taken any prescribed drugs which where metridonizole and the acyclivior. The Doctor explained that NSAIDs or tylenol can cause these type of eruptions, so i stopped taking pain pills and I;m still getting the eruptions. Is there anything I can do, this problem is very frustrating
