scaly lips

Hi,
i have scaly lips since a few months ago. i went to see skin doctor and he said its nothing to do with allergy since i never had allergy problem before. i had apply lip balm with SPF continously, but my lips' skin is not improving at all. i have to peel it off everyday and this make me very terrible..i never had this problem on my lips before..wish that someone can help me.

thanks a lot. i tried vaseline before i went to see the doctor, it make my lips getting worse, my lips seems to be watery at the side and its irritating. so doctor gave me a medicine call Dexaltin Oral Paste, Dexamethasone 1mg/g. my irritation gone after apply that medicine, but scaly lips is not improving.

Hi,
It could be excessively dry lips caused by reduced  by dry,humid weather.
Apply vaseline to the affected areas as it can seal the moisture in.You could also apply calamine lotion or moisturizing creams till they soften.
Drink plenty of water to keep skin well hydrated.
Hope these measures done consistently will turn your situatioin around.
