side effects of Terbinafine hydrochloride when applied on or near the mouth

Hello,
I would like to know if the side effects of terbinafine hydrochloride on or near the mouth are temporary or permanent? My issue: I used the cream Lamisil on my face before reading the instructions. Lamisil has the ingredient Terbinafine hydrochloride which I thought I needed for a condition I have but before I read the warning I used it. It states not to use on or near the mouth. After use I saw my lips get very white and after a couple of days it seemed like the top thin layer of skin came off: painless. I know its my fault for not reading the box but now my lips get very dry. They turn to an off-white color. I am constantly licking my lips and using chapstick. Its like my lips are not holding any moisture. When I press my lips together they seem to stick almost like I have a small application of glue on them, making them stick. Can anyone help me if my lips will heal themselves or is there some medication I could take to counteract the side effects I am experiencing? Thank you who ever you are. FYI: I have stopped using the Lamisl cream for 2-3 weeks now.
