some type of acne on my mustache

im not sure how to explain whats irritating me...its when i shave my mustache when it grows back on the sides has like white stuff.i mean if i look closely in the mirror i can see like this white stuff seems like its embedded in my mustache....and a pimple like thingy there but small....it just irritates me if i move my mouth as to say smile or open to eat...i just bought cetaphil and head and shoulders cause i read that the flakes  might be dandruff of the beard?
also i have tried using extra virgin olive oil on my face a few times in the past weeks....what could this be ? also what is the seriousness or worst case scenario?its not to noticable i guess cause no1 ever says hey u got white stuff on ur mustach.but i can see it clearly in a mirror...how do i get rid of it? please if anyone could give me some hope as to how to get rid of it i love you

i can take a pic if needed

Hello,

It is very difficult to make a diagnosis without examination but some of the possibilities for your symptoms are folliculitis(barber’s itch) or perioral dermatitis. Folliculitis is an inflammation of the hair follicle, most commonly caused by shaving. Hot moist compresses may promote drainage of extensive folliculitis. Treatment may also include antibiotics applied to the skin (mupirocin) or taken by mouth (dicloxacillin), or antifungal medications to control the infection.

If however the symtoms persist after the above treatment also then perioral dermatitis has to be probed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
