strange bumps

I started to notice these bumps on my 2 year olds arm. At first I thought they might be bug bites, but they don't seem to itch or bother her. There is no swelling around the bumps. They are a reddish flesh color and shiny, almost like they might turn into a boil or blister. They are about 1cm in width. I am concerned because they became apparent a few days after she ran a fever of 104 and rash on the trunk of her body. She was seen in the ER for this and was diagnosed with a viral rash. The bumps on her arm appeared about two days after this. Any suggestions on what this could be or if I should be concerned.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Viral exanthem or rash refers to a widespread rash that is usually accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever, malaise and headache. It is usually caused by an infectious condition such as a virus or may also be due to a drug.

This is usually resolves spontaneously. Supportive and symptomatic treatment is usually given. If there is fever, paracetamol may be given while  topical or oral antihistamines to relieve itch may be used. It is also important that your daughter drink plenty of fluids and have adequate rest.

Take care and regards.
