MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These red dots which are itchy can be due to insect/bug or mosquito bites or scabies. Scabies is a contagious disease which is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

My sincere advice is to get it examined from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

went to the doc. I thought it might be "scabies" it ends up I have "shingals."  He told me I had let it go too long, so take care and go to a doc. when you get a chance.  Good Luck, td23

OMG I am online for the same reason.  I have no insaurance and would like some ideas of what itchy bumps could be.  What started out as a few bumps that would apear and go away on my right side, has now taken over my right side we're talking 30 to 40 of them.
