vitiligo on penis is different then the rest of it?

for the last 10 years i have had vitiligo. but for the past year it has slowly been growing on my penis. however shortly after it did, where the vitiligo spread the white  skin became more sensitive and dry and easily irritated and itchy. now it has become flaky like its sunburned and i have no idea why. it gets worse after i shower. i have changed soaps and the laundry detergent i use, also its been 7 years since i have been sexually active. this condition is only on the patches of vitiligo nowhere else on my penis. does this sound like anything anyone knows about or something specifically related to vitiligo or something else entirely? its quite alarming
