winter rash

Every winter I get a rash.  It is scaly on top, no larger than a
dime, not itchy or bothersome.  It appears over most of my body.
It is usually worse on my legs.  Once I get in the sun for a week
it will go away.  Can you suggest something to help in the winter?

Since I moved to a tropical area, my eczema has disappeared - although it flares again if I visit the family for a lengthy stay in temperate zones.  Try cotton underwear too.

Some of the derm sites suggest going for light treatment in the winter. I guess that means a tanning salon. have you tried that?
Just an idea..Karen

Donna:

Sure--sounds like nummular (round, coin-shaped) eczema.  If over-the-counter hydrocortisone doesn't work, you should see a dermatologist about a stronger one.  Should clear you up like gangbusters.

No need to wait for spring!
