Why don't you set a reminder on your cell phone at different times every day until it becomes a habit?

I find the best way to remember is to get into a routine. For example, you always test first thing in the morning. then 2 hours after eating. Put your meter somewhere you can see it easily. I carry mine in my handbag, so it is always with me. At night I place it in my bathroom, so it is there when I stumble into the bathroom in the morning.
I keep my meter with my short acting insulin. This way I can do a correction if needed.
I keep my long acting insulin separately on my desk at home. In the past I have dosed the wrong type of insulin (short instead of long), when distracted and to avoid doing that again, I now keep the two insulins in completely different locations.
Managing your blood sugar well is one of the most important things you can do for your long-term health.
