Depression and Anxiety

I have been type 1 diabetic since I was 4, I'm 19 now, and it hasn't been easy. I was wondering if anyone else with type 1 has has spouts of depression and anxiety when there blood sugar is out of whack?

I became type 1 last year in July and the path has been hard. I'm 28 and lived my entire life normal. This adjustment hasn't been the greatest and there has been many times that I feel depressed and really just hated waking up. However it's always small bouts and it goes away. Life is short and even though we have this condition, you just have to look past it to the better things.

I've had diabetes since I was 7, I am now 15. My sugar has never really been controlled . My lowest A1C was 8.6 but now it's back to its normal 10.8.... It seems like I have been depressed lately and it's not like me at all. I do hav over active thyroid so I would get that checked

I've had diabetes sense I was 10 months and am 21 now. I know exactly how you feel. Thursday I start at a new indo and am trying to get back on track. I've had issues with verbal abuse that hasn't helped. All we can do is pray and work hard

Hi,
Blood sugar being out can definitely affect how we feel.
Have you  had your thyroid checked?  Low thyroid is also common in people with diabetes and can affect depression and anxiety.
Hope you feel better.  You are not alone.
