What type of diabetes do I really have?

I recently requested a C-Peptide blood test be drawn to help with my goal of being injection free. Even though, I was diagnosed at 15 y.o. (I'm now 40 y.o.) my results read: 0.7 which is low, but does show my pancreas is producing some insulin. What type of diabetes do I really have?
Thank you,

Type 1.

It is not uncommon for person with type 1 diabetes to still produce a small amount of insulin.

This alone doesn't change your diagnosis.

If you want more information about management, I will recommend you go to utube lecture series by Dr. Berstein "Berstein Diabetes University".  He answers many questions.
