Gestational Diabetes

Hi, I was diagnosed with GD when i was 14 weeks pregnant, and I am now 21 weeks. I have just been prescribed Metformlin 500mg in the mornings with breakfast. I am wondering if it could cause mental/emotional issues? I know pregnancy makes your hormones go crazy, but since I started taking this medication (2 days) I seem to be more over the top. Thanks in advance.

Hi I am sorry to hear you are having problems.  When I was diagnosed with Diabetes the doctor had me take the medication at night before bed.  I really did not notice any difference other than it did help with my sugar level.  That said, we are all different and react to medications differently.  Maybe you should call the doctor or give it a little more time.
Good luck
Congratulations on your pregnancy
