High Pulse rate

I am a heart patient since about 1.5 years. May be it may be earlier but I was diagnosed after a mild heart attack in 2009. After necessary test I was diagnosed with mild diastolic dysfunction. I am taking 10 mg zestril morning and evening and was a regular walker. i kept fit and my pulse rate remained below 70. After fasting for a month and obviously less consumption of water I found that today my BP was 115- 80 but pulse was 94. It has never been more than 70 for the last 1.5 years. i attribute it no walking for almost a month and taking less fluid due to fasting. I was obviously worried and therefore seek advise from you. Of course I will consult my doctor also.

javed saheb , I am a cardiologist from Karachi. Because it is only third day of Eid so there is no need to worry about pulse it will settle in 7-10 days, make sure you take plenty of fluid , if your heart rate is bothering you too much you can start metoprolol in low dose 25mg for a short period.
there are many cardiologist friend of mine in Lahore you can see Dr shehbaz Sarwer or Dr Ashfaq .
