Your post eating sugars are only slightly high.  You may no longer need the after supper if your fasting is good).   Or perhaps you should ask your dr if you can return to the previous prescription of 1 Table after meals.

However, if you keep up with lower carb eating and exercise, there is a good possibility you could no longer need medications.

please check with your dr.

When I was taking an insurance policy they tested my bloods . They detected that I was pre-diabetic  and my first Gp prescribed  mertforman for me 1 tablet  30min after a meal.  My second GP increased my prescription  1 tablet after breakfast and after supper,  I am currently exercising and my bloods are fine,  My sugars after a meal ranges from 6 -7

4.4 (80) is a normal fasting blood sugar level.  Am I correct that this number was your morning fasting number?

If your fasting blood sugar is consistently at this level, maybe you need to take your Metformin in the morning with breakfast to help with your meal time numbers (and not before you sleep).

What is you Hba1c?  Why were your prescribed metformin?  What was the result that resulted in it's prescription?

Please come back and let us know.
