Soda pop beverages contain some of the most harmful synthetic sweeteners in existence. Many brands of soda pop contain the artificial sweeteners aspartame and saccharin, both of which are cancer causing. Aspartame is a known neurotoxin. A neurotoxin is a toxin to the brain and impairs brain health and function and adversely affects fetal brain development in unborn babies.

High fructose corn syrup is another dangerous sugar that many soda pop brands contain. This harmful sugar goes straight into the blood once ingested and adversely affects blood sugar levels almost instantly.

ACE-K is one of the latest synthetic sweeteners added to soda pop, such as certain brands of Pepsi-Cola (Pepsi One). This drug adversely affects the brain.

The artificial sweeteners are all dangerous to one degree or another.

That being said, moat of us indulge from time to time.

One problem is that from one diet soda a day it's easy to get up to ten or twelve, and the danger from these substances increases dramatically as more gets into the bloodstream.

Avoid them if you have the willpower, and use them in moderation if you don't.

Diet pop is good in that it reduces the amount of sugar and high fructose corn syrup you consume.

However, the artificial sweeteners are not proven to be totally safe.  Therefore it is best to limit or cut out diet pop also.
