type 2diabetic

I have a lot of medical problems diabetes being one. Recently lost my Medicaid until they determine my disability or not. I have no money therefore have been without my meds. I'm doing everything I possibly can do to lower my sugar yet it's climbing daily 500 and above. I'm always thirsty, drinking only water and up all night every thirty minutes to urinate. Going crazy! My vision is already 20/800 without my glasses but now I can't even see with my glasses. Neuropathy is killing me, does anyone know what I can do?

I was never on insulin! I was on metformin 2,000,mg. Daily along with 10mg extended release glipicide. It's went out of control since I lost my meds. I've been in appeal for a year! I also have lupus, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, you name it I have it! Thank you

No. You go to the nearest hospital and tell them you want to be treated under the Hill-Burton Act. All hospitals recieve federal aid and MUST be treated without payment if they apply under this provision. Each hospital has a quotas and if one hospital hass\ used it's up they will refer you to another..

As sally said  go to an emergency room with BG of 500.  Many MDs have sample insulin they can give you.  the insulin makers have help for people that cant pay for insulin.

And as sally said its ALL typs of carbohydrates that raise BG whole wheat will raise your BG  so does pasta, rice, potato, most fruit will too.

You can buy generic insulin and test strips at wallmart for fairly low price, I understand.  I presume you do know how to use insulin (and that is what you were on before).

Your blood sugar is dangerously high.  It could kill you.  You need to appeal or do whatever you can.  I am not in the US, I don't know how these things work.  But this is a medical emergency.  You are going to get diabetic ketoacidosis and it will kill you.

You need to totally avoid carbs for now (sugar of any type/ breads/pasta etc).  Ie. you can eat fats (fat doesn't impact blood sugar), and maybe green vegetables.

Please let us know you can get some help.
