It might be easier and more positive to think about what you CAN eat. The Mediterranean Diet has been shown to be helpful for those with diabetes and prediabetes... here is some information from MedHelp.org and the Sugar Sense app on how to try it:

Hi, foods in and of themselves do not cause diabetes.
However, the best foods to eat for health are plenty of vegetables - of all types and ideally with lots of variety, some fruits, healthy unprocessed and naturally occurring fats from dairy, nuts, animal fats, proteins (eggs, fish, nuts, meat). Alcohol is generally ok for most in moderation. Grains, sweets and processed foods should be eaten in moderation, if at all.
Hope this helps.
