Is it safe to alternate between 750 mg and 1000 mg of metformin on successive days?

I have a recently filled prescription of the 750 mg and hate to waste it.  We decided to increase to 1000 mg for better results.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Unfortunately, we can not advise you on what to do with the mg strength medication you have.  Our suggestion is to tell your doctor and they may take it to help another of their patients as a donation or tell you to dispose of it.  So, speak to your doctor regarding what to do.  Best of luck to you.
