It is called Dawn Phenomenon.
This occurs during overnight fasting when the liver releases glucose in the early morning.
How could you say he had hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia without knowing what the blood sugars are. He did state that they were in normal range. Palpitations may not even be related to blood sugar.

Actually he is asking why his POST eating is lower than his fasting. His phase 1 insulin response is shot so his phase 2 response is over correcting and producing too much insulin and causing lower BG that IS reactive hypoglycemia.
It's hyperglycemia, not hypo
