How long are syringes good for?

My dad was diabetic, he died six years ago.  In a drawer I found hundreds of insulin syringes, the kind that are disposable and in sealed packages.  Are they still good to use?  I am diabetic myself and this would be a real savings if I can use them.

They should be fine to use.  You may want to check and see if there is an expiration date.  Even if the expiration date is past, there are still okay to use as the expiration date is for the packaging.

Good luck.

Maybe I should clarify:  each syringe is individually sealed in a blister package.
