I have these symptoms:
* Sores or bruises that heal very slowly
* Dry, itchy skin
* Blurry vision that changes from day to day
* Unusual tiredness or drowsiness
* Tingling or numbness in the feet and hands
* Frequent thrush infections
I am 19 with only my great grandma having diabetes (not sure what type…)
I had my fasting blood glucose levels tested over 6 months ago and got 4 which is normal but these symptoms have only started within the last 4 months.
I have had a bruise on my leg which has been here for nearly two months now. It no longer hurts but is still very obvious.
I have been drinking more lately but I wouldn’t say it is ‘extreme’. Same goes with urination, more than usual but not ‘extreme’ ??
My vision in general has decreased noticably lately, especially in my right eye. And it changes throughout the day.
My skin, especially my forehead, has been peeling for no reason, I’m not sunburnt.
I’ve been very tired lately, wanting to take naps during the day and retiring to bed early.
I have been getting pins and needles in my hands and feet for no reason, even while I’m walking, and almost like a burning feeling on my thumbs.
I've had four thrush infections in the past 3 months - insanely annoying! Swab tests have confirmed it is thrush...
I went to my doctor but he said since my last test was fine I’m fine and referred me to a neurologist because of the numbness and pins and needles in my feet and hands. I’m kind of scared!
Does this sound like diabetes?
